I’m drawn to light and colour - the way light changes everything and brings colour alive.
I feel like I paint in an instinctive way, depending on my mood and whatever I’m looking at. Some pieces turn out soft and fluid, others are more textured or rough. I don’t stick to one approach. I just follow what feels right at the time.
Much of what I paint comes from noticing simple things - the sea, the sky, or how a place makes me feel. But it always comes back to the light. That’s what keeps me going.
I’m American but have spent most of my life on the island of Mallorca. Now I divide my time between the Mediterranean and the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. With a Fine Arts degree from St. Lawrence University and photography studies at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan, my creative path has included work as an art teacher, studio assistant, and photographer.
After years focused on raising my three children, I’ve returned to painting - my first love, and the place I feel most at home.
Feel free to explore my work, and get in touch if something catches your eye.
